BRUSANE/GOSPIC, May 8 (Hina) - Lika-Senj County police will as of Tuesday withdraw their security measures for securing investigators of the Hague-based international war crimes tribunal who are probing an alleged mass grave with
civilians in the Gospic area the past several weeks (central Croatia). Police Commissioner Dubravko Novak said police had the past month provided security for the investigators and can say there had been no occurrences which would endanger the investigators or the probe. The Hague investigators had, with the cooperation of Croatian judicial representatives and police, investigated possible graves in which Serb civilians had been allegedly buried during the Homeland War. There is no information about the results of the investigation. Head of the investigating team, Steve Chambers, had announced the results would be issued in a day or two.(hina) lml
