ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - Croatia saw 178,825 tourist arrivals in January and February this year. According to the Statistical Office, this was the same number as the number of tourist arrivals in the first two months of 1999. Of it,
foreigners made out 67,975 tourist arrivals (or seven percent higher as against the same period in 1999), and domestic guests made out 110,850 arrivals (less by four percent). During January and February this year there were 503,468 room/nights. Foreign tourists had 201,404 overnight stays (eight percent more as against the same period in 1999) and Croatians had 302,064 overnight stays (or seven percent less). Most numerous foreigners came from Italy and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Marinas registered 420 arrivals of boats or 27.6 percent more compared to January and February 1999.
