EBRD EXPERTS ON VISIT TO ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - Croatia's First Deputy Prime Minister Goran Granic on Monday received Chris Cviic, a senior political advisor for the Baltic countries, central and south-east Europe at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), aide Rika Ishii and the Zagreb-based EBRD office's head Andrew Krapotkin, read a statement issued by the Government's public relations office. The EBRD representatives showed interest in many current political and economic issues in Croatia. Granic and his guests discussed the Government's programme, the recently adopted state budget for 2000, projects in infrastructure and development and foreign investments. Granic told them that the economic circumstances in the country were grave and the Government was faced with many serious problems but it was determined to carry out tasks defined in its programme.
