ZAGREB, April 11 (Hina) - A delegation of the European Commission, which will be visiting Zagreb on Tuesday and Wednesday, is to hold a number of working meetings with representatives of Croatian authorities, ministries, and other
bodies of state administration. The two sides will also organise the second meeting of a joint Croatian-European Union consultative working group on Wednesday. The EC delegation is headed by Fabrizio Barbaso, an EC director for external relations, who will arrive in Zagreb this afternoon. Barbaso will meet Croatia's Deputy Foreign Minister Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec in the evening. The joint consultative working group (Task Force) will hold its second meeting tomorrow, and upon its completion statements will be given to the press about the results of the visit of the EC delegation. The first meeting of the Task Force for Croatia was held in Brussels on February 15. The purpose of the

The purpose of the visit of EC officials is to gather information
for the preparation of a feasibility study on opening talks between
Croatia and the EU on an agreement on stabilisation and
association.
The EU Council of Ministers on Monday entrusted the EC to prepare a
feasibility study on starting talks with Croatia for the regular
session of the Council of Ministers in June.
