ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Bishops Conference, Zagreb's Archbishop Josip Bozanic, on Friday received president of the Croatian National Sabor Zlatko Tomcic in his first officials visit to
the Archbishop's Palace in Zagreb. Archbishop Bozanic and Tomcic exchanged several useful information, particularly about relations between the Church and the state, the Zagreb Archbishop's Public Relations Office reported. Tomcic reiterated the attitude of the Croatian authorities that all regulations of an agreement between the Holy See and Croatia will me respected and implemented. The two officials concluded there was no need for talks on possible amendments to any regulation of the agreement. Bozanic informed Tomcic of the way the Church followed the catechism in schools, this important area of education of children and the youth. Bozanic informed Tomcic of the way the Church followed the

Pointing to the significance of the state social care for children,
Bozanic said that responsible persons should search for
possibilities that all children receive child's allowance.
Tomcic said the talks were warm and open and that him and Bozanic
shared opinion on all issues.
"I informed the Archbishop of all events at the political scene. He
showed great understanding for everything I tried to explain. He
expressed particular understanding for difficulties Croatia is
facing, particularly in economic and social sense", Tomcic added.
When asked whether they tackled the passing of a new law on
religious communities, Tomcic said they did not address the issue.
