ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP MEETS PRIME MINISTER ZAGREB, March 24 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Bishops' Conference, Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic, received Prime Minister Ivica Racan for the first official visit at the Archdiocesan
Office on Friday. According to a statement from the Zagreb Archbishop's public relations office, during long and open talks Bozanic and Racan discussed issues concerning relations between the Catholic Church and the state. Readiness was expressed for the implementation of agreements between the Holy See and Croatia to continue. The Prime Minister informed Archbishop Bozanic the government would in the next several days form a commission for relations with the Church and other religious communities. Both sides expressed readiness to cooperate in resolving issues of mutual interest at future meetings, to the benefit of the common well-being in Croatia, the statement read.(hina) mm rml
