Discussing concrete aspects of co-operation within the Stability
Pact for Southeast Europe, Picula and Dini agreed Croatia and Italy
would advocate making trade easier, improving communication, and
expanding co-operation in fishing to prevent possible incidents.
The two ministers also discussed development in tourism,
environmental protection, the promotion of scientific research,
and the stimulation of financial co-operation directed at joint
investments.
According to the statement, the two foreign ministers ascribe
special attention to the Adriatic Sea region and a conference on the
development and security of the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, which
should be held in mid-May and initiate future co-operation
processes.
