The HMI section for education organises five categories of Croatian
language courses for different levels of knowledge, and the
folklore section will organise a school of Croatian folklore on
August 1-12.
These programmes, intended for autochtonous Croat communities in
Europe, were devised by the HMI section for Croatian minorities.
The programmes include excursions to Croatia for pupils and those
studying Croatian literature at European universities. During
summer holidays in Croatia, these programmes will present showcase
examples of the national culture.
The section for Croatian minorities is also preparing a traditional
review of Croatian cultural clubs from European countries, and a
week of Croatian autochtonous minorities.
Young volunteers from abroad will this year again participate in
the reconstruction of war-destroyed Croatian areas. TASK FORCE
2000 will be held between July 15 and August 4 in the area of Zadar, a
town on the central Adriatic coast.
