ZAGREB, March 8 (Hina) - Contrary to the general belief, women in Croatia have difficulties in the realisation of their rights, particularly in the fields of labour and employment, Croatian Vice Prime Minister Zeljka Antunovic said at
the occasion of the International Women's Day Wednesday. Antunovic spoke at a seminar on the position of women in Croatia. Half of the world's population and 43 percent of the labour force are women, however, only an insignificant number of women have leading positions in economy, Antunovic stressed. She called upon state institutions and non-government organisations to establish measures for the improvement of the position of women in the framework of the current possibilities in Croatia.
