Hague. #L#
"We are now working towards bringing Mr. Naletilic to the Hague for
his initial appearance at the earliest possible moment," ICTY
spokesman Jim Landale said Friday.
This excludes the possibility of his appearance before an ICTY
trial chamber in Zagreb, which was one of the possibilities
considered by the Tribunal.
Asked about Croatia's ideas about Naletilic's trial being held in
Croatia and about an appeals procedure for the former commander of
the Central Bosnia Operative Zone, Tihomir Blaskic, being held in
Croatia, Landale said the Tribunal had not discussed the
possibility.
"That has never been on the table," he said.
Landale reiterated that the Hague-based tribunal intends to carry
out proceedings against everyone indicted by the Prosecutor's
Office exclusively in the Hague.
"The intention is that everyone indicted by the Hague will be tried
here," Landale stressed.
