The conclusion of the negotiations with the European Union means that the European Commission has recognised the efforts Croatia has made so far in adjusting to the European legislation and standards, the HUP said in a statement.
The association also said that it was very happy about the European Council's decision.
The HUP called for focusing efforts on strengthening the national economy and investment potential so that the country could find its niche in the very competitive European market.
The HGK said that the decision of the European Council was a great event for the Croatian society.
