Croatian Serb leader says Council's decision great for Croatia

ZAGREB, June 24 (Hina) - The vice president of the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS), Milorad Pupovac, has said that the European Council's decision on the conclusion of Croatia's European Union accession negotiations by the end of June and the signing of the Accession Treaty by the end of this year is great and significant for Croatia and for all its citizens and the government.

Pupovac said on Friday that he was very happy about the decision from Brussels.

This is also a great decision for the incumbent Croatian government which has managed to bring this job to completion despite scepticism and huge obstacles, said Pupovac whose party is a junior partner in the ruling coalition.
