ZAGREB, Feb 11 (Hina) - The flagship of the United States Navy's 6th Fleet, USS LaSalle, will visit the Croatian southern city of Split in the end of March, and in the spring, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier and its support ships will
visit Dubrovnik and other Croatian coastal towns, the U.S. Embassy in Zagreb announced on Friday. These visits were discussed at Friday's meeting between Croatian Defence Minister Jozo Rados, U.S. Ambassador to Zagreb, William Montgomery and Deputy Special Advisor for Dayton Peace Accords' implementation, Robert Frowick, read a statement issued by the Embassy. Minister Rados accepted the LaSalle's visit in Split on 24-27 March. Embarked on the ship will be the Commander of the 6th Fleet, Vice Admiral, Daniel Murphy. The Croatian officials and the Americans also discussed tentative plans for a carrier and ships from the carrier's battle group to visit Croatia later this spring.
