"We have done an important job, by giving the Government a vote of
confidence we enabled it to fully contribute to Croatia's
progress," said the President of the House of Representatives,
Zlatko Tomcic, at the end of the first parliamentary session.
Drago Krpina of the largest opposition party, Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ), was the only MP who did not support the new government
and his colleague Nevio Setic abstained.
The MPs unanimously supported a proposal by Mato Arlovic that all
suggestions and opinions, presented at today's session, be
forwarded to the Government for consideration in further
developing the programme.
The Government programme was not supported only by the HDZ.
