VOJNIC, Feb 9 (Hina) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will donate US$12 million for the reconstruction of the water- and power-supply infrastructure in Vojnic, a municipality in central Croatia. An
agreement was signed on Wednesday to that effect by Vojnic municipal head Mirjam Slavica and USAID director for Croatia Charles Aanenson. Vojnic is one of the first municipalities in this part of Croatia to receive financial support from the USAID because the agency assessed Vojnic and municipal head Slavica were very open towards undisturbed refugee returns and Croat-Serb-Muslim coexistence, said Aanenson. The USAID is investing in 14 reconstruction programmes in Croatia, primarily in eastern and western Slavonia and in the Danube River Region, regions which suffered most in the Serb aggression last decade.(hina) ha mm
