ZADAR, Jan 18 (Hina) - A United States demining delegation headed by U.S. Ambassador to Croatia's wife Lynne Montgomery on Tuesday visited Zemunik Gornji, Skabrnja, and Pristeg in Zadar County to discuss difficulties caused by
mine-infested land, and assistance in the mine-clearing of fields and vineyards. After viewing the central coastal area, Montgomery said she was glad to be in Zadar County in the company of U.S. experts searching for possible mine-clearing projects. The experts are part of U.S. President Bill Clinton's Initiative for Demining 2010. Montgomery said she expected serious talks on mine-clearing assistance, adding she was satisfied with the successful implementation of her humanitarian mine-clearing action "Adopt a Mine Field." discuss difficulties caused by mine-infested land, and assistance
in the mine-clearing of fields and vineyards.
After viewing the central coastal area, Montgomery said she was

Montgomery said she expected serious talks on mine-clearing
assistance, adding she was satisfied with the successful
implementation of her humanitarian mine-clearing action "Adopt a
Mine Field."
"Piper" demining company director Zeljko Romic briefed the U.S.
delegation with the results of the mine-clearing of 15,000 square
metres of plot, for which Montgomery's action collected more than
US$40,000. Romic said the job was done in 20 days.
