ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - The newly-appointed Health Minister Ana Stavljenic-Rukavina on Friday took over her office from the former minister Zeljko Reiner. According to the new minister, the main task of the Health Ministry would be
the reform of the health care system. She said she would continue insisting on what Reiner had insisted on - the cancellation of customs tariffs on medicines and medical products. Stavljenic-Rukavina said she still could not say whether the new government would approve more funds for the health system, adding concrete programmes would be presented after February 10. Reiner expressed satisfaction that Stavljenic-Rukavina was his successor, because he believed the new minister had all the necessary qualifications for the post. He added he would return to Zagreb's 'Rebro' hospital where he had worked as a doctor.(hina) rml
