SARAJEVO, Feb 9 (Hina) - The Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH)
on Wednesday agreed on a new structure of the BH Council of
Ministers, thus paving the way for solving a crisis which broke out
after BH's Constitutional Court ruled the Law on the Council of
Ministers was not constitutional.
The Presidency's three members at today's session decided to
forward a motion to parliament, suggesting changes to the said law
according to which the Council of Ministers would have one chairman
instead of two co-chairmen as in the past. The Council would also
have two deputy chairmen who would rotate on the leading position
every eight months.
In the future, the BH Council of Ministers should have five
ministries. Besides the already existing ministries of foreign
affairs, civil affairs and communications, and foreign trade and
economic relations, the government would have the human rights and
refugee returns, and treasury and finance ministries.
The Office of the international community's High Representative
for BH earlier urged the Presidency to appoint a new Council of
Minister mandatary as soon as possible, in order to restore normal
functioning for the Council.
