SARAJEVO TV STATION CLAIMS MESIC'S INTERVIEW WAS THWARTED SARAJEVO, Feb 4 (Hina) - An independent Sarajevo-based TV station 'Studio 99' on Friday reported it had been prevented from hosting Croatian presidential candidate Stipe Mesic
in its broadcast of February 3 due to deliberate interference of phone lines. During the broadcast, which was attended by the leaders of Bosnian opposition parties, Mesic was to give an interview over the phone. The board of editors of 'Studio 99' claims it has been established that Mesic's interview was prevented by persons "who on that occasion controlled phone lines between Zagreb and Sarajevo." The TV station expressed its protest over the incident, claiming it was politically motivated and caused by those who opposed the improvement of relations between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
