ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Sixteen Croatian fans were arrested for disturbing public order and peace and starting fights and destroying vehicles during a European Handball Championship game between Croatia and Slovenia in Zagreb on
Saturday, Zagreb police spokesman Josip Begovic said on Monday. Two Slovene citizens received light injuries in fights which took place before and during the game at Zagreb's Sports Hall. The fights, Begovic said, were started by Zagreb fans who were thrown out of the hall and taken to the police station. Four minors were arrested for destroying vehicles belonging to Slovene nationals. Begovic also said a police officer securing the area in front of the hall was attacked with a stone. The attacker was arrested shortly after the incident in the vicinity of the hall and taken to the police station, he added.(hina) rml
