ABOUT 8,900 VOTERS TO CAST THEIR BALLOTS AT REPEATED ELECTIONS

ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - Elections for the Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives will be conducted again at 11 polling stations in Croatia on Sunday, January 16. About 8,900 voters will be able to cast their ballots at polls which will be open at 7 am. Temporary unofficial results of this repeated voting will be announced on Monday by the National Electoral commission. President of the Commission Marjan Ramuscak stressed the new result would not influence the current results. Due to irregularities noticed at the parliamentary elections held on January 3, the elections will be conducted again at four polling stations in the fifth electoral unit, two polls in the eight electoral unit, four polls in the ninth electoral unit and one polling station in the tenth electoral unit. The National Electoral Commission believes there are two reasons for irregularities. Either a member of an electoral committee did not circle a voter who cast his ballot or one ballot glued to another so voters were given to ballots.
