Union's (HDZ) Secretary General's resignation was the election of
party colleague Ivic Pasalic as one of the vice presidents in the
Croatian National Sabor, acting party president, Vladmir Seks told
journalists late Wednesday night, adding that Krpina was generally

The party's presidency debated the reasons behind Drago Krpina's
resignation for more than four hours on Wednesday. Seks added that
this decision was not final and the matter would be brought up again
next Tuesday.
Asked by journalists who would replace HDZ's MP's who have placed
their mandates on hold, Seks replied that this too would be
discussed next Tuesday following opinions by county branches of the
party.
The choice of replacements need not necessarily reflect the
position on the party listing at the elections but will rather be a
party decision, Seks said.
