COMMITTEE FOR ECONOMY SUPPORTS LAW ON PUBLIC HOLIDAY

ZAGREB, Feb 3 (Hina) - The Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives' committee for economy, reconstruction and development on Thursday held its first session. Representatives discussed only one item from the agenda, namely a bill on the re-scheduling of working hours on February 7, the second round of the presidential elections. The committee unanimously supported the Government's proposal that Monday be proclaimed a public holiday. The committee proposed that the Lower House passes the law. The committee, however, also proposed an amendment that a regulation, reading that the February 7th be worked off on one of the days in the working week, be cancelled. This day is Sunday so this could cause some misunderstanding. In line with the law, employers, physical legal entities are obligated to re-schedule the non-working day within 30 days, or within six months at the latest. Parliament should enact the bil
