REPRESENTATIVES IN CRO LOWER HOUSE TAKE OATHS

ZAGREB, Feb 2 (Hina) - The Croatian National Sabor's House of Representatives includes 151 representatives, namely 140 representatives from the list of political parties in ten electoral units and six lists from a separate electoral unit for the Croatian Diaspora and five representatives of national minorities.This is a reports of the Commission for Mandates and Immunities, adopted by the Lower House at today's constituted session. Of 151 representatives, 22 are performing duties which are incompatible with duties in the House of Representatives, so 15 members from the ranks of the Coalition of Six demanded that their mandates of the 22 representatives be frozen. Several Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) representatives are also performing incompatible duties of prefects, and two of them, Djuro Decak and Ivo Baica, informed the Lower House that they had submitted resignations and would remain representatives. The representatives took oaths saying they would responsibly perform their duties in line with the Constitution and law, and advocate Croatia's overall progress. The Lower House appointed the committee for appointments and administrative works which is to propose the president and five vice presidents of the Croatian National Sabor House of Representatives. The president of the Committee is Vilim Hrman, and vice president is Ivan Jarnjak.
