ZAGREB, Jan 28 (Hina) - Croatia's newly-appointed Interior Minister Sime Lucin on Friday took over his office from the former Interior Minister Ivan Penic, the Interior Ministry's public relations service said in a statement. The new
minister met with the members of the Ministry's conference of department heads who put their mandates at Lucin's disposal. Lucin told reporters yesterday he expected Penic's closest associates to make their mandates available. Lucin is expected to decide on his associates after he holds talks next week with every member of the conference separately and becomes acquainted with their work and that of their departments. Lucin's first order was that all police stations and centres for the protection of the constitutional order be notified of today's take-over.(hina) rml
