ZAGREB, Jan 5 (Hina) - Ivica Racan, president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), a party which won the parliamentary elections in coalition with the Croatian Social Liberal Party on January 3, confirmed Wednesday night he would
accept the office of the prime minister. Racan told the Croatian Television changes had already been made. "The Parliament will on the agenda have decisions which will testify about changes," Racan said. Stressing the government would soon have to face the true situation in the country, he expressed fear that "it is more difficult and worse that official data speak of". Asked about speculations about dismissals in the executive authority, Racan said they were not true. "It is true that there will be changes we promised, we will insist on those.
