PRISTINA, Dec 25 (Hina) - The speaker of the newly established parliament of Kosovo, Nexhat Daci, said in Pristina on Monday he had refused to receive his salary from the Office of the UN Civil Administrator for Kosovo and requested
more powers for Kosovo citizens. Daci refused to receive his salary from the international administration as the matter is to be decided by the Kosovo parliament and requested that the international administration give more powers to the citizens of Kosovo as of next year. He told reporters that he would fully support international representatives but only within the powers granted them by Resolution 1244 of the U.N. Security Council and the Constitutional Framework of Kosovo. "The Office of the U.N. Civil Administrator is not and will not be my boss. My boss is the people of Kosovo and their legitimate representatives in the Kosovo parliament," Daci said.(hina) rml
