ZAGREB, Dec 14 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament adopted a new law on elementary and secondary school textbooks with a majority vote on Friday. The MPs adopted amendments moved by the government which, according to Education and Sports
Minister Vladimir Strugar, reduce excessive norms and administration in the drawing up, approval and publication of schoolbooks. Parliament today also adopted a law on the financial reorganisation of student centres in Zagreb and Osijek which, in keeping with an amendment moved by the Education, Science, and Culture Committee, will be generalised and applied in all future student centre reorganisations.(hina) ha sb

Parliament today also adopted a law on the financial reorganisation
