NOVI SAD, Dec 18 (Hina) - A total of 21,615 artefacts stolen from the eastern Croatian town of Vukovar by ex-Yugoslavia's federal army (JNA) and Serb paramilitary units in 1991 were returned to Croatia on Dec. 13, the head of the Novi
Sad Museum, Ilija Komnenovic, said on Tuesday. The returned artefacts consist of some 2,000 valuables from the Bauer collection, the Vukovar town collection, valuables from the St. Philip and Jacob monastery, several other collections, antique weaponry, and coin collections, said Komnenovic. He emphasised the earthly remains of St. Paul with the Vatican's certificate were returned as well. Also returned from the Novi Sad and Vojvodina museums, where the stolen artefacts had been stored, were 15 books of records.
