BELGRADE, Dec 11 (Hina) - The official hand-over of artefacts returning to Vukovar from Novi Sad in Yugoslavia after ten years will take place at the eastern Croatian town's museum on Dec. 13, the Vojvodina Museum said on Tuesday. The
treasure, which includes more than 2,000 pieces of art and was stolen in 1991, will thus be returned to Croatia. Croatian and Yugoslav expert teams have concluded the artefacts have been well-preserved. Representatives of the Council of Europe also examined the artefacts, which were stored at the Novi Sad Museum and the Vojvodina Museum. Returning to Vukovar after a decade are the Antun Bauer collection, the Vukovar Town Museum's cultural-historical collection, and material from the Franciscan monastery and the St. Philip and Jacob's parish church. On Dec. 14, Yugoslav Foreign Minister Goran Svilanovic will officially visit Croatia.(hina) ha sb
