MOSTAR, Dec 10 (Hina) - The Secretary- General of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), Josip Merdzo, will in the future officially represent the party instead of the HDZ BiH president, Ante Jelavic, in order
to enable the court registration of the HDZ BiH for the upcoming elections scheduled for autumn 2002, HDZ officials who wished to remain anonymous said in Mostar on Monday. According to Bosnian media, which cited international sources, a possibility of the HDZ refusing to register for the elections because Ante Jelavic was re-appointed president, should not be excluded.
