OPATIJA OPATIJA, Dec 7 (Hina) - The 14th seminar of the Croatian Penology Association, which was being held in Opatija, ended on Saturday. The conclusions from the seminar will be forwarded to Justice Ministry. The participants in the seminar have warned that the legislator is continually imposing new duties on judges, which requires more labour and money. The conclusion was presented on the second day of the seminar in a debate on a law on prison sentence, which was adopted recently. The law will go into force on January 1 next year. It enables judges to control the process of the execution of prison sentences, which so far has been in the jurisdiction of penal administration. The judges have warned that the law imposes new duties while the number of judges has not been increased. They therefore request that more executive judges be employed to prevent control over the execution of prison sentences from becoming a se
