ZAGREB/BRUSSELS, Dec 7 (Hina) - Representatives of ten countries of the so-called Vilnius Group, which aspire to join NATO, including Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula, met US Secretary of State Colin Powell in Brussels Friday,
the Croatian mission at NATO said in a statement. Powell expressed the US gratitude for the support and solidarity provided by countries of the Vilnius Group in the joint fight against terrorism. Picula is participating at a semi-annual meeting of foreign ministers from the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Committee (EAPC), a multilateral forum within which NATO and the Partnership for Peace member-countries regularly meet to discuss political and security issues and cooperation.(hina) np sb
