returned to Croatia.

The Jasenovac collection was handed over yesterday. It had been
stored at the Washington Holocaust Museum, which had taken it from
the Bosnian Serb authorities, simultaneously signing an agreement
on its restitution to Jasenovac with the Croatian Culture
Ministry.
The archives and collection of the World War Two Ustasha
concentration camp at Jasenovac had been stolen by Serb
paramilitary troops at the beginning of the 1990s war and
transferred to Banja Luka, Bosanska Dubica and other Bosnian Serb
locations.
While reviewing and processing the material, experts of the
Washington Holocaust Museum established that a considerable
section was missing.
