ZAGREB, Dec 4 (Hina) - At a joint session on Tuesday, coordinating bodies of the Croatian government discussed the amendments MPs had moved to a draft state budget for 2002. The government insists the budget must not be increased, but
that some funds will be reallocated and some saving be done. The government will formulate this in its own amendments on Thursday. Around 90 million kuna (approx. $10.85 million) is expected to be saved on official trips, representation, and office supplies. In keeping with proposals made by representatives of national minorities, the government will keep the funds for the minorities at this year's level. Parliament will tackle around 400 amendments to the draft budget and the draft itself on Dec. 11. The draft envisages 76.8 billion kuna (approx. $9.25 billion) in expenditure. (hina) ha
