LJUBLJANA, Nov 28 (Hina) - Brussels does not consider the non-existence of a border agreement with Croatia as a hindrance for Slovenia joining the European Union nor for the introduction of the Schengen system of controlling the
borders outside of the EU, Slovene Minister for European Affairs, Igor Bavcar said on Wednesday. "From the aspect of Slovene's joining the EU and the establishment of the Schengen control system, the issues are not contentious, and the problem was not mentioned in the recent EU report on the progress of candidates," Bavcar told a news conference. According to him, the entanglement regarding the adoption of the border agreement originated in Croatia, not Slovenia.
