MOSTAR-CONFERENCES-Politika REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON COOPERATION OF TOWNS ENDS MOSTAR, Nov 25 (Hina) - A three-day regional conference on the transborder cooperation of municipalities, held in the southern Bosnian town of Mostar,
wrapped up on Sunday. Participants called for adopting a special convention on the regional cooperation of towns and municipalities in view of integrating Southeast Europe and bringing it closer to the European Union. The conference was attended by representatives of towns and municipalities of almost all former Yugoslav republics. Initiatives from the event will be forwarded to the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, including protocols on a regional approach to the return of refugees, and an institutional framework for the activity of non-governmental organisations as the most successful bridge of cooperation in the region.
