Italian refugees had left behind in Istria after WWII, which is being resolved via a bilateral agreement following on the Rome Agreement dating 1983. According to the agreement, Croatia should pay Italy 35 million dollars. A Croatian-Italian friendship agreement which should soon be signed will resolve the issue, leaving Italy only to solve the issue of compensation to former owners of real-estate in the so-called B Zone in Istria to Buje.(hina) lml sb
