SABOR: AGENDA OF 17TH SESSION AMENDED TO INCLUDE REPORT ON SAA

ZAGREB, Oct 24 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament amended the agenda of its 17th sitting to include two more items - a report on a Croatia-EU Stabilisation and Association Agreement and a proposal by the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) that the authorities hold a referendum on the agreement. The report on the SAA will be presented this afternoon by European Integration Minister Neven Mimica at the proposal of the Committee on European Integration. Parliament Speaker Zlatko Tomcic informed the parliament about yesterday's conclusions of the Parliament Presidency, which requested that the Government voice its stand on statements made by Public Works Minister Radimir Cacic. Commenting on insults Croatian Christian Democratic Union (HKDU) president and MP Anto Kovacevic levelled at MP Vesna Pusic of the Croatian People's Party (HNS), Cacic said the case had unmasked a large number of parliamentary deputies as people who lacked the nerve and integrity to oppose such rude behaviour. The session resumed with a debate on a proposal by the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) on changes to the Law on Public Information binding the media to make their ownership structure public.
