ZAGREB ZAGREB, Oct 18 (Hina) - Disgruntled with a law on war veterans' rights, members of a Croatian war invalids' association, HVIDRA, began a protest at 4pm Thursday in front of the Croatian Parliament. According to media estimates,
about 150 HVIDRA members from around the country arrived in downtown Zagreb. The start of the demonstrations was marked by a scuffle between the protesters and police who formed a cordon in front of the parliament building. The protesters wanted to make way for a person in a wheelchair, to which police objected. The rest of the demonstrators then pushed their way towards the parliament building carrying Croatian flags and crying out "Kill him," "Croatia, Croatia," and "Until the End". Police have cordoned off the parliament building and surrounding streets and are filming the protest with video-cameras.
