ZAGREB, Oct 8 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) supports protests scheduled to be held in Zagreb on October 20, however, the party is not organising them because it believes that to hold a peaceful protest is the right of
all Croatian citizens, including war veterans, guaranteed by the Constitution, read a statement issued by the HDZ Monday. The HDZ believes that the dissatisfaction of war veterans is justified because it is a consequence of the incumbent authorities' inadmissible policy toward the Homeland Defence War and its soldiers. The "Slobodna Dalmacija" daily in Monday's issue published an article claiming it had a letter which allegedly reveals a direct connection and contacts between the national headquarters for the protection of Homeland War values and the HDZ leadership regarding the organisation of the war veterans' protest.
