MOSTAR, Oct 16 (Hina) - The Bosnian Croatian journalists' association on Tuesday strongly condemned an attack on Boro Jelic, a reporter of the radio station 'Usora' and correspondent of the Croatian daily Slobodna Dalmacija, and asked
competent authorities to punish the assailant. According to the Usora radio station, Jelic was physically attacked on Monday by Ivica Artmagic, a former leader of the local branch of the HDZ political party. According to the same source, Artmagic previously threatened to the radio station's workers as they relayed statements of the local police on many offences perpetrated by Artmagic. The association has asked that reporters be provided with normal working conditions. It has cautioned that reporting about the truth must not be the reason for assaults on journalists.(hina) sb ms
