SERB OFFICIALS COMMENT ON BEING MENTIONED IN MILOSEVIC INDICTMENT

BELGRADE, Oct 11 (Hina) - Vojislav Seselj, one of several Yugoslav officials mentioned in the Hague war crimes tribunal's indictment against Slobodan Milosevic, will go to The Hague "as soon as (he) get(s) a visa" for the Netherlands. Talking to reporters in Belgrade on Thursday, the "red Chetnik duke", as he has often been called, said he was "satisfied" his name was mentioned on the expanded indictment against Yugoslavia's former head of state. He asserted the indictment charged Milosevic "with what I'm proud of." "I'm going to The Hague as soon as I get the visa, but they still won't give it to me," Seselj said referring to the fact that a few weeks ago, he allegedly requested a Dutch visa to "visit (former Bosnian Serb leader Momcilo) Krajisnik and the other Serb heroes." Gen. Aleksandar Vasiljevic, a former chief of Yugoslavia's military intelligence, said today he was "at a loss" as to why he was mentioned in the Milosevic indictment, expanded this week to include war crimes in Croatia. Vasiljevic told Belgrade's NIN weekly he was "particularly surprised" to be mentioned among people who "eliminated me at one time." The general declined to comment on the indictment. (hina) ha sb
