The indictment, drawn up by the ICTY Chief Prosecutor, Carla del
Ponte, was signed by a Portuguese judge, Almiro Rodrigues.
The Tribunal has not yet officially confirm that the indictment was
signed. Upon the official announcement, the Tribunal should set a
time term for Milosevic to say whether he plead guilty or not guilty
for what he is charged in this indictment.
Del Ponte, who served the indictment against Milosevic for his
responsibility in the war in Croatia on 27 September, is expected to
hand over soon another indictment accusing the former Serbian ruler
of the aggression in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Milosevic, widely blamed for having incited several wars in the
former Yugoslavia, has been in the UN Tribunal's custody since this
June when Belgrade extradited him to the ICTY on the grounds of an
indictment charging him with war atrocities in Kosovo in 1999.
