SKOPLJE, Oct 11 (Hina) - The Macedonian police have discovered illegal arms in an area controlled by ethnic Albanian rebels, which has additionally increased tensions caused by the stalled implementation of the peace process due to
the postponement of the adoption of a reform of the rights of the Albanian minority in parliament. The army and police on Wednesday found the weapons buried in the village of Tanuse not far from the Albanian border, some 50 miles south-west of Skoplje, police spokesman Vasko Sutarov said. The seized weapons include several pieces of anti-tank mines, rocket-launchers, machine-guns, automatic rifles, hand grenades and a sizeable amount of explosive.(hina) rml
