BELGRADE, Sept 10 (Hina) - Serbian Justice Minister Vladan Batic told reporters Monday that the defence counsel of the detained former Bosnian Serb entity parliament speaker Momcilo Krajisnik sent a request to the Serbian government
to provide guarantees for Krajisnik that the international war crimes tribunal allow him to defend himself in freedom. Batic told a news conference in Belgrade he was convinced the government would grant the request and provide the necessary guarantees. The issue will be discussed at the ensuing session. The Serbian minister said he was contacted by the defence attorneys of the former chief-of-staff of the Republika Srpska army, General Momir Talic, who asked guarantees for himself as well. The Serbian government decision to provide guarantees for Biljana
Plavsic, who is in Belgrade since last week when the tribunal
