THE HAGUE, Sept 12 (Hina) - The international war crimes tribunal for former Yugoslavia in The Hague (ICTY) has joined other institutions which started a new working day on Wednesday with increased security measures following
Tuesday's terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, which have claimed thousands of human lives. At the entrance to the ICTY building, guards were checking the registration plates of all vehicles entering the underground garage as well as employees' identification cards. Lists of people granted permits to enter the building were additionally checked. ICTY spokesman Jim Landale said it was not the policy of the tribunal to give information on security measures.(hina) rml
