detention appeal filed by the attorneys of seven men arrested on
suspicion of having committed war crimes against Serb Croat
civilians at the southern seaport's Lora military prison in 1992.
An investigation into eight former military policemen was launched
on Sept. 29. Detention was ruled due to the gravity of the crimes and
the possibility of the defendants' influencing witnesses.
