SEVENTH OF EIGHT LORA CRIMES SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN SPLIT

SPLIT SPLIT, Sept 28 (Hina) - The seventh of eight suspects for the 1992 murder of two Lora penitentiary Serb prisoners, Nenad Knezevic and Gojko Bulovic, was detained at the investigative centre of the Split County Court Friday. The eighth suspect, a former Lora military prison warden, is still at large, County prosecutor Mladen Bajic told the press. He added the Military Police and the Split-Dalmatia County police jointly pressed charges against the eight on founded suspicion that they committed crimes against humanity and international law and crimes against civilians. Yugoslav judicial bodies were asked to participate in the preliminary investigation of the crimes against Serb prisoners at the Lora penitentiary. They handed over coded deposition transcripts of former Lora prisoners who now reside in Yugoslavia.
