ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - Koncar, a leading Croatian concern in electrical manufacturing industry, earned 820.7 million kuna (approximately 100 million US dollars) from the sale of its products in the first eight months of 2001. The
proceeds from the sale thus increased by seven percent as against the January-August period in 2000.
ZAGREB, Oct 5 (Hina) - Koncar, a leading Croatian concern in
electrical manufacturing industry, earned 820.7 million kuna
(approximately 100 million US dollars) from the sale of its
products in the first eight months of 2001. The proceeds from the
sale thus increased by seven percent as against the January-August

The income from the sale in Croatia totalled 449.6 million kuna
(54.8 million USD), rising by 3.1 percent compared to the first
eight months last year.
The Croatian Power Industry (HEP) remained a major buyer on the
domestic market, purchasing 40 percent of the sold products in
Croatia.
The proceeds from the sale and services on the foreign markets
climbed by 12.1 percent to 371.1 million kuna (45.25 million USD).
The biggest foreign market for Koncar's products and services was
Bosnia-Herzegovina. Of the total exports of Koncar, 30 percent went
to this country.
The most significant increase in Koncar's exports was registered on
markets of Norway, Nigeria, Yugoslavia and Macedonia.
